Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. Her catalog includes more than 20 albums. DiFranco describes her music under the terms folk-rock and alternative. But it has influences from punk, hip-hop, and jazz. Ani Difranco is considered to be a feminist legend as well as a Grammy award-winning. In the beginning, as one of the first female artists in the 1990s, DiFranco created her own record label. DiFranco's parents were Elizabeth (Ross), a previous student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each the other when they were both attending. Her father is of Italian roots and her mother was a Montreal native. Ani diFranco composed and sang the song 32 Flavors.
