Simone Biles
Simone Biles (born March 14 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.) American gymnast who was considered one of the sport's greatest athletes. At the 2016 Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in the same Games and was also the first gymnast to win three consecutive world all-around titles (2013-15). Biles was born in Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) adopted them. They were raised in the Houston metropolitan area. Simone started to develop an interest in gymnastics when she was a six-year-old during a school field trip to Bannon Gymnastix. Aimee Borman was her coach for the following 11 years. Biles took home a medal for vault as well as a gold medal on the floor at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. In 2011, she began playing in elite levels of gymnastics competition. Two years later, she was the most dominant athlete in the field. Biles's consistency, her exuberant character and her high level of challenge in her four events -vault uneven bars, balance beam floor exercise and floor exercises -- helped to set her apart.
