Dua Lipa is a British singer/songwriter who was born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd 1995. Dua Lipa signed to Warner Bros Records after a few years of working and released a self-titled first album in 2017. This album reached number 3 at the U.K. Charts, and also released eight singles. This included Be the one I.D.G.A.F The U.K. Number One track New Rules as well as the U.K. No. #1 track New Rules. Lipa's album, which has since been certified Platinum in various countries around the world has won two Brit Awards (in the year of 2018) in the categories of British female single artist and British Breakthrough act. Dua Lipa was conceived in London with Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). She is of Bosnian heritage through her mother's grandmother. It is also possible to trace her ancestry to Peja in Kosovo. Lipa's grand-fathers were both history professors. Her brother is Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Lipa's father, the guitarist and lead singer of Kosovan band Oda was a major influence on her music. Her musical influences were derived from her father's music that included his music compositions and songs like David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa started singing when she was five years old. She started singing during Sylvia Young Theater School. Sylvia Young Theater School when she was just nine years old. Lipa sang in the song If I'm Not Gone You with Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. In 2014 Lipa was signed to a contract in partnership with Warner Bros. Records. New Love was her debut single. New Love was released in August 2015.
